What is Prentiss Madden being charged with?

Law enforcement agencies have been warned that an IP address registered at Madden’s house repeatedly accessed a cloud-based file-sharing service containing child pornography images, prosecutors say.

As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Madden’s home.

They discovered a cell phone believed to belong to Madden that contained several sexually explicit videos and images of a minor.

The phone also contained chats discussing child and animal sexual abuse, prosecutors say

According to the criminal complaint affidavit, some of the chats contained images that appeared to show Madden engaging in sexual activity with dogs.

Agents also discovered over 1,000 images of child pornography and other animal cruelty in Madden’s cloud-based sharing account, the court filings say.

The geolocation information on one of the images depicting alleged bestiality is available, according to the Complaint related to the animal hospital where Madden worked.

He was charged under a 2019 federal law banning video production of cruelty to animals.

Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Torture Act, which prohibits the willful crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating, impaling or other serious harm to “live non-human mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians”.

The law also prohibits “animal killing videos” i.e. H. any photograph, motion picture, video, or digital recording or electronic image depicting cruelty to animals.

If convicted, Madden faces up to 37 years in prison for the offenses he is charged with.

Fray’s custody hearing is scheduled for March 19 in Miami Magistrates Court.
