DIY Cakesicles Tutorial

You may have seen them all over Instagram but we thought it was about time we showed you exactly how to make these super cute cakesicles! Perfect for a bridal shower, engagement party or even on your wedding day itself. You can make these with any flavour of cake you fancy and cover them with your favourite type of chocolate.
We kept these simple with vanilla cake and buttercream with a white chocolate coating.
Once coated they’re a blank canvas for however you want to decorate them!
Cake recipe (will make approx 18 cakesicles)
115g butter
115g caster sugar
2 eggs
1tsp vanilla extract
115g self raising flour
We used an 8″ cake tin. Bake at 160ºC (fan) for approximately 20 minutes.
Buttercream/frosting
75g butter
175g icing sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
For all 18 cakesicles we used approx 400g white chocolate.
