I was born of kind parents, my character is vividly.
Until the time I graduated from high school, I was just a hard – working student studying for the university
entrance exam. I thought being an obeying son a polite student, and a nice friends meant everything in life. Everyone including myself was certain that I would pass the entrance exam. Then, I was confronted with my first failure, came to the failure. As I am just now stepping into the new world, I am very excited to expose my abilities. Even though I do not have much practical experience at the moment, I am active, challenging, creative and trusty person like me is needed in the community. After work experience in companies for a couple of years, I want to study international relations and affairs in the future, so that I can be capable working in the place like United

Although I received my B.S. in Engineering physics, I have a passion for literature. My present favorite author is James Joyce. My musical taste varies from Classical(Wagner is my favorite) to country(Collin Ray), and practically everything in between. I suppose I try to see the best in everything. It’s difficult to bore me because of this. Even when presented with bad material, I will always try to find something interesting in it.
This page is actually maintained under the auspice of the Material Science Semiconductor Interface Laboratory. I work here and my present project is the modelling of PtSi on Si. There are some interesting behavior that were observed in the STM of a sample of PtSi//Si, and we do not know how to explain it. Therefore, we are trying to model it on the computer to see if we can match the results we got.
My hobbies are rather few, but I tend to put a lot of effort into these. They are less so hobbies as they are avocations. I am a military aviation buff. So much so that at least one of my former girlfriends broke up with me because of it. She said:”You love your airplanes more than you love me!”. But what is love? I do believe she is mistaken . Life Goes on nonetheless, and I rarely look back upon my past with regret. I prefer to press on toward my goals without the hinderance of any regret. Especially since now my present girlfriend is a wonderful person, and just a great woman all around. (mostly because she indulges my little hobbies;) )
Another hobby of mine is cooking. I consider myself to be an above average chef, and have developed some of my own recipes. It’s fun to play around in the kitchen. It’s a good thing that I don’t have a family, because they will have to put up with my experiments. It usually turns out alright, but on occasions even I couldn’t stomach it. If you have any cool recipes that you are willing to share, e-mail it over to me.
The hobby on which I spend the most time, however, has got to be reading. I am an avid reader, and prefer a broad range of topics. From linguistics to history; from technical to religious. My own library is relatively extensive, and if you know me personally, I’m willing to lend to you anything in my collection.
I am somewhat musically inclined. Besides my preferences in listening to music, I also try to cultivate an ability to make music. My present project is to learn how to play harmonica. I have a relatively eclectic past music career, and I think I have benefitted from them in that they have widened my perception and appreciation for more forms of music. Upon reflection I realize that most of my listening preferences actually stemmed from my playing experiences. I never really got into ragged or rap. Perhaps the reason would be that I’ve never experienced these two genre on a creative and recreative setting, whereas I love classical music and blues, because I know them on an intimate as well as technical basis.

Although I received my B.S. in Engineering physics, I have a passion for literature. My present favorite author is James Joyce. My musical taste varies from Classical(Wagner is my favorite) to country(Collin Ray), and practically everything in between. I suppose I try to see the best in everything. My hobbies are rather few, but I tend to put a lot of effort into these. They are less so hobbies as they are avocations. I am a military aviation buff. So much so that at least one of my former girlfriends broke up with me because of it. She said:”You love your airplanes more than you love me!”. But what is love? I do believe she is mistaken . Life Goes on nonetheless, and I rarely look back upon my past with regret. I prefer to press on toward my goals without the hinderance of any regret. Especially since now my present girlfriend is a wonderful person, and just a great woman all around. (mostly because she indulges my little hobbies;) )
Another hobby of mine is cooking. I consider myself to be an above average chef, and have developed some of my own recipes. It’s fun to play around in the kitchen. It’s a good thing that I don’t have a family, because they will have to put up with my experiments. It usually turns out alright, but on occasions even I couldn’t stomach it. The hobby on which I spend the most time, however, has got to be reading. I am an avid reader, and prefer a broad range of topics. From linguistics to history; from technical to religious. I am somewhat musically inclined. Besides my preferences in listening to music, I also try to cultivate an ability to make music. My present project is to learn how to play harmonica. I have a relatively eclectic past music career, and I think I have benefitted from them in that they have widened my perception and appreciation for more forms of music. Upon reflection I realize that most of my listening preferences actually stemmed from my playing experiences. I never really got into ragged or rap. Perhaps the reason would be that I’ve never experienced these two genre on a creative and recreative setting, whereas I love classical music and blues, because I know them on an intimate as well as technical basis.

영문 자기소개서 (Cover Letter) 양식 & 작성 팁
외국회사에 지원할 때 이력서와 함께 보내는 자기소개서 (Cover Letter) 양식과 작성 요령을 공유해 볼까 한다.
Cover Letter 라 하면 물건을 팔거나 어디로 보낼 때 ‘내용물이 뭐고, 어떻게 다뤄야 하고’ 하는 것들을 적은 설명서이다. 채용담당자에게 내 이력서를 보내면서 ‘내가 간단히 말하면 어떤 사람이고, 왜 여기에 지원했으며 왜 너네가 나를 필요로 할 지’ 에 대해서 적어 보내는 자기소개서 역시 나를 판매하는 Cover Letter라 할 수 있다.
회사에서 요구하지 않거나 필수라고 하지 않으면 작성하지 않아도 되니까, 쓸 지 말 지는 자기 선택이다.
아마 인사담당자 측에서는 이력서만 낸 후보와 자기소개서도 함께 낸 후보를 두고 볼 때 성의면에서도 그렇고, 후보에 대해 더 자세히 알 수 있는 면에서도 그렇고 자기소개서를 함께 작성해서 낸 후보(Candidate)가 첫인상면에서는 점수를 먹고 들어가지 않을까. 물론 탄탄한 내용이 뒷받침 되어야 하겠다.
어쨌든, 이력서만으로 나에 대해 다 설명할 수 없는 노릇이니, 조금 더 적극적인 세일즈 성공률을 향상 시키기 위해 Cover Letter 하나 마련해 두자.
작성법을 공유하기로 포스팅을 작성하긴 했지만 자기소개에 답은 없다.
살아 온 환경과 이야기가 제각각 다르기 때문에 형식은 이력서보다 더욱 더 자유롭고 다양할 수 밖에 없다.
하지만 기본 틀을 어떻게 해야 할까부터 고민하고 있다면
먼저 Word 를 연 다음에, 아래와 같이 보내는 사람과 받는 사람을 적어 시작하자.
먼저는 아주 간단히 지금 이 포지션에 지원하게 된 경로나 계기를 쓰면서 서론을 잡자.
그런 다음 본론으로 들어가자.
먼저, Cover Letter 내용은 PDF 한 페이지를 넘지 않도록 해야 하니 주의하자.
세세한 경력은 이력서에 나오니, 지금 지원하는 포지션에 내가 가장 적합한 이유를 부연 설명하는 것이 가장 좋다.
대졸 이후 신입으로 지원하는 경우, 대학에서 전공 공부, 동아리, 봉사활동, 인턴, 아르바이트 등의 경험을 통해 얻은 것이 무엇인지, 그리고 그런 것을 바탕으로 했을 때 내가 얼마나 이 회사에 잘 어울리는 지를 적자.
경력사원의 경우, 이전 직장을 거치며 갖게 된 커리어 중 강조하고 싶은 내용이나 지원하는 회사에서 내 경력이 어떻게 쓰일 수 있을 지 적으면 되겠다.
‘**회사에서 이런 이런 일을 했는데, 여긴 ***한 면이 부족한 것 같아서 새로 지원하는 ***에서 이런 점을 더 적극적으로 활용해 ***분야에 도움이 되고 싶다’는 식으로.
쓸 만한 일이 없다고 생각된다면 생각을 고쳐먹자!
아무리 나에게 별일 아닌 것 같은 일도 다른 사람이 봤을 때는 별일이 될 수 있다.

마지막으로 잘 부탁한다고 끝맺음을 하고 마무리한다.
단어나 문법 면에서 혼자 쓰기에 자신이 없다면 구글 검색으로 남의 자소서를 엿보고 어떤 단어들을 썼는 지 찾아보자.
당장에 Cover Letter 만 쳐도 자소서 양식 이미지가 수두룩하다.

이메일을 통해 이력서(Resume)와 자기소개서(Cover Letter)를 보내는 경우도 있지만, 해당 회사의 채용 웹사이트에 본인의 이력서와 자기소개서 파일을 업로드 하는 경우가 더 많다. 어떤 회사는 파일 하나만 받는 곳도 있으니, 그럴 때는 Cover Letter와 Resume를 한 문서로! 합쳐서 업로드 하시면 된다. 그때는 Cover Letter 가 먼저 보이도록 편집할 것.

[답변]외국계 기업에서 가장 선호하는 입사서류는 아래와 같습니다.
영문이력서 + 영문 커버레터 + 국문 이력서 -> 하나의 PDF 파일
외국계 기업에서 영문이력서는 반드시 제출해야 합니다. 외국계 기업에 지원하면서 한글 이력서만 제출해서는 안됩니다. 간단한 사유는 이 포지션을 채용하는 Hiring Manager가 아무리 한국 사람이라 할지라도 이 사람을 뽑겠 다라고 Hiring manager의 Manager에게 보고해야 할 일이 발생되며, Hiring Manager의 Manager가 외국인일 가능성도 높습니다. 즉 채용 프로세스에 한 명이라도 외국인이 있을 경우, 영문이력서가 없으면 진행이 되기 어렵습니다.

자소서 관련, 국내 기업은 자소서 문항이 주어지면 그 문항에 맞춰 작성하는 것이 대부분이겠지만, 외국계 회사는 자유양식이기 때문에 자소서 항목을 2~3개 정도, 특히 지원한 포지션의 자격요건 중심으로 나만의 직무 경쟁력을 잘 어필할 수 있는 항목으로 선택하시면 좋습니다.
