Macrame Plant Hanger | Tutorial | Beginner | Square Knot | Twisting Knot
Materials: 3mm single strand cotton string, metal or wooden ring (6070mm)
Cut eight pieces of string to a length of 4.5 yards or 4 meters.
Double the strings over the ring. Use a 24 inch string to create a gathering knot.
To create the first branch, find four strings that are close together. Create about 18 square knots. Repeat with the next four strands to begin the second branch. Continue until all the strings have been used.
To complete the first branch, create twisting half square knots until the length of the twisting knots is the same as the length of the square knots. Repeat with the remaining branches.
Once all four branches have been completed, create the net for the pot using alternating square knots.
Close the net at the bottom with a gathering knot.
Trim the fringe to the desired length.
Note: To make a planter with three branches, begin with six strings.
Note: To conserve materials, cut half the strings to a shorter length. These will be the middle, or filler strings, of each branch.

DIY How to make a macrame plant hanger
Materials:
Macrame cord ( 8 cords of 4 meter each, 2 cords of 1 meter each)
Scissors
Tape
Plant and a pot
CORRECTION
@00:01:08 : I mentioned a 2 meters cord. oops I was meant to say 1mt cord. And I was just reusing one of the cords that I will be using afterwards for the “gathering knot” of the top or of the bottom.
The “you will need..” part is Correct the rest of the video shouldn’t cause any issues.
This tutorial was made with the purpose of practicing some pre production and post production video skills.

How to make a macrame wall hanging🌿
I made a macrame leaves wall hanging.
In the stem part, cut the cords
as long as the length of the stem you want to make.
I used about 55cm to make a 10cm stem
with 2mm cords.
You need about 6 times the cord.
You have to fold the cord in half,
so it actually needs 12 times the cord.
And add about 60cm of extra cord.
For example, if you want to make a stem 20cm long,
you need a 300cm cord.
(20×12)+60=300

마크라메 월 행잉 만드는 방법🌿
마크라메 나뭇잎 월 행잉을 만들어 보았어요.
줄기 부분은 만들고자 하는 줄기의 길이 만큼
줄을 잘라 사용합니다.
2mm 줄로 줄기 10cm 만드는 데에
약 55cm의 줄이 사용되었어요.
넉넉히 6배의 줄이 필요한데요.
반으로 접어서 사용하기 때문에
실제로는 12배의 줄이 필요합니다.
그리고 여기에 여분의 줄 60cm 정도 추가해 줍니다.
예를 들어 줄기의 길이를 20cm 하고 싶다면
300cm 줄이 필요합니다.
(20×12)+60=300

This is by far one of the most helpful and easy to follow videos that I have found online. I do wish that someone would post a tutorial that differentiates each string using color because I still get confused by some of the knots. If each string was marked with a different color sharpie it would be much easier to follow along.

It would be nice to see the finishing step of removing the craft from the stick. I am making a rim cover for a tongue drum and won’t be keeping mine on a stick. It has to be in the form of a belt. I’d like to see options for finishing that off- although I’m sure I can work it out.
